How should your creditors treat you?

If a creditor takes action against you even if there is an agreement for you to pay off your arrears by instalments, there can be action taken agianst it!

When you have fallen into arrears with a loan, creditors are expected to treat you fairly when they are negotiating with you or trying to collect the arrears.

For example, they are not allowed to intimidate you, harass you or pretend to have more legal powers than they really have. Also, creditors are also not allowed to discriminate against you because of your race, sex, disability, sexuality, or religion. Please know your rights, and dont get intimidated!!
